The Senior SharePoint Administrator oversees the platform operations team for an enterprise wide Microsoft environment, including SharePoint, SQL Server, and Power BI. They will oversee the migration of the current on-premises environment to the Cloud and the adoption of the broader Microsoft Cloud Power Platform. In the current environment, they will provide hands on administration for the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of over 100 servers and software related to SharePoint infrastructure, which is currently migrating to SharePoint 2019. They will serve as the lead administrator for a team of 4-5 resources and is a primary point of contact with customer management. The Sr. SharePoint Administrator must significant experience managing, building and designing SharePoint (2010, and 2013) On-Premise farms. Ideal candidate should be familiar with SharePoint best practices from a performance and capacity management perspective and in various 3rd party products and technologies that extend the functionality of SharePoint. Additionally, the Sr. SharePoint Administrator should have a good understanding of the various development models for SharePoint (Server Side, CSOM, REST etc.,) and how they interact with the platform. Duties will also include interacting with Solution Administrators, Developers and Program Managers responsible for new solutions, and offering suggestions to improve the design or to have it map better to the SharePoint Farms. The Sr. SharePoint Administrator will also help plan for the move of SharePoint farms from On-Premise to possible cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), and should be able to talk about the pros and cons of the approaches suggested.


* Oversee maintenance and administration of Microsoft SharePoint Servers, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis

* Manage the functionality of features such as Search, view the Audit Log Reports, work with site collection policies, manage the site collection caching, and activate or deactivate Site Collection features

* Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new Microsoft based initiatives

* Oversee and perform typical system administrative activities such backup, restore and issue resolution

* Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices, and procedures for SharePoint solutions

* Guide the customer and team in the migration from an on-premises infrastructure to the Cloud (O365/SharePoint Online/Azure) and adoption of Power Platform offerings


* Minimum 7 years of hands on experience working on SharePoint and related Microsoft platforms in architecture and platform operations roles

* Experience in managing a team (at least 3-5 resources) in a large SharePoint based environment

* Advanced experience in a lead role supporting large SharePoint infrastructure (e.g., 100+ servers, 5+ SP farms, 4,000+ users)

* Expert knowledge in creating and configuring Sites, libraries, managed properties and other SharePoint entities.

* Able to write complex powershell scripts to support various administrative needs, not just things like one-line commands to do backup and such.

* Deploy and Manage large scale deployments of SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 on perm farms, including deployment of SharePoint search

* Experience configuring SCOM to monitor environments

* Experience in performing administrative tasks using SharePoint central administration and powershell as required

* Experience with Administer SharePoint service applications (Search, user profile, BDC)

* Advance experience managing SQL server database platforms, familiar with using TSQL scripts.

* Advanced experience debugging frontend codes (VB, C# etc.)

* Advanced experience deploying/managing owerbi and powerapps platform

* Write and troubleshoot SharePoint designer workflows

* Troubleshoot user issues (issues related to permission, access, search, configurations of sites, lists, managed metadata, customizations, and so on)

* Troubleshoot issues utilizing window logs, SharePoint logs, IIS logs etc.

* Troubleshooting using network tracing tools (fiddler, netmon, procmon etc.)

* Use of third party migration/backup tools like docave, sharegate etc.

* Planning and executing migration of SharePoint site/content (migrating between on-prem farms is must, migration to SharePoint online is plus)

* Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline

* At least eight (8) years or more of relevant experience

* MCSE SharePoint and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) is highly desired

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
