Current California Nursing License and a current CPR certification. Excellent verbal communication skills, customer service skills and comfort supervising non-licensed staff. Individual should be flexible and have good organizational skills. Previous RN experience in a blood center, IV Skills, or previous supervisory experience a plus, however, clinical training in blood banking and employee development provided.
Charge RN oversees medical and technical issues and supervises non-licensed staff in the Donor Centers. Charge RN is also responsible for managing Blood Drives and Donor flow on Bloodmobile and Field drives throughout our five-county area to serve our community by meeting the need for blood and blood products in our Central Valley and beyond. Reports to Clinical Nurse Managers and Medical Director on donor clinical issues and donor reactions.
Charge RN's will also train/mentor non-licensed staff and new RNs when assigned. Will work in all areas of the Donor Services Department based on staffing needs Need to have the work/life flexibility to work varying schedules week to week.
