IT Data Systems Analyst

Central California Blood Center is looking for an experienced self-driven, detail-oriented database analyst who loves data, software development, adept at data analytics and curious about artificial intelligence. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of digital transformation and help the Central California Blood Center use real time data and analytics to improve the donor’s and customer’s experience which ultimately saves lives in the communities we serve.

The database analyst is responsible for the day to day coordination and support of the organization’s data management systems, building complex SQL queries, data reporting and analytics. This role will collaborate with operational departments to understand their business need and requirements, the problems they are trying to solve and develop solutions to meet those business requirements. A qualified candidate will be able to think through analytical problems, understand technical systems and create solutions to meet business needs as well as leverage a thorough understanding of industry best practices and implement, manage and support all database environments such as test, development and production. Ability to support software development and data analytics required .

Qualifications will include: Demonstrated experience in managing SQL and/or Oracle databases; Demonstrated experience in writing complex SQL queries to provide business reports; Demonstrated experience in mobile software development. Meeting the goals of this organization will require strong service-oriented skills including interpersonal and communications skills with people at all levels in the organization.


Other requirements to be successful in this position will include strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, SQL, Oracle, Crystal reports, power scripting and basic networking to include Active Directory. Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and HTML 5 is a plus. BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Software Engineering Minimum of 5 years of experience as a database administrator, database analyst or software engineer/developer required.
